Christa nodded, satisfied with the mans answer. She stood up and lifted her shirt, showing the blue mark on her stomach, "I want to know everything there is about this." After letting the guy get a look, Christa sat back down and folded her arms.
(OOC: the mark is from Leons event, if that's not chill lmk and i'll edit it to something else.)

Vivi sat a ways away, sipping at a jack and coke. She had witnessed everything up until now, but didn’t really feel like doing anything until she felt a buzz. It only took a few drinks to heighten her curiosity, and she came closer, quirking an eyebrow at Five as she passed by.
She was hesitant to ask for anything just yet, but watched the man and woman who’d already asked for a favor to see what kind of game they’d play.
“I’m interested,” Vivi said, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, “But I’ll let these guys go first.” |

Zade brought a finger up to his chin as he pondered the situation. "Stick to what you know. I want power. Simple as that. In any shape or form you can offer it to me.

Five looked up as Vivi approached, and his jaw dropped. She was actually going to give this a shot? He wasn't sure whether to call her brave or stupid, though he definitely wouldn't vocalize it if he settled for stupid.
Five thought to the object they had just taken. It had a lot of worth, but it was their job together... and he was certain his boss would be displeased if he lost it in a bet.
Still, he would get up and stand closer to Vivi, as if to show support. For now, he would remain silent, wanting to see the kinds of thing this man could even do before he opened his mouth.

The mysterious man shot a glance to Vivi as she spoke, shaking his head. "No need. We can all play. Get your desire out if you've got one - why waste the time? Of course, all up to you." His eyes then drifted to those who spoke up, and he offered a nod.
"Very well. For you," he looked to Leon, "... you should know you already have this power. On a greater scale, you have none of it to offer in a way that I might convincingly feel inclined to offer you some of my own; however, you seem like a man of determination. Make clear what this might mean to you, and perhaps something can be arranged."
His eyes moved then to Christa, to whom he also nodded. "This can be done. Should you lose, however, it will cost a walk in your mind. Any information you have that I might find useful will belong to me. Do you accept?"
And then, he settled on Zade. "I can grant you power of any and all kinds, compadre. But, if you lose, it'll cost the power you already have. Is this agreeable?"

Christa cracked her neck from side to side, nodding, "Sure, I don't see a problem with that." It's not like she had anything that she was necessarily trying to hide, and the things she did have were personal and likely of no use to this guy. She held a finger up in the air though, walking over to the bar to get another drink and retaking her seat, "Aight, now I'm good."

A walk through her mind? Was that possible? Granting people power? Was the impossible actually feasible?
It was a long shot, but he had to try...
"My sister went missing sometime ago. Is there any way to find out where she is? What would the cost be?"

As Selena recorded in silence, her attention was piqued was Leon's request. He had wanted power like the ones they had both witnessed. The request meant little to her, however the man's answer is what drew her in. He... already had the power within him? Selena thought back to the dream she had had before, weeks before. One particular one.
... Did Selena have that power within her, too?
Her gaze switched between Leon and the dealer, feeling her heart begin to race. She hadn't been tempted before, if anything quite the opposite. The majority of her still screamed at how bad of an idea taking such a deal was. But she waited to hear what might be arranged. The inherent desperation she felt to aid others, to heal, drove her every day, her entire life.
Maybe... just maybe... there was a cost she would be willing to pay. But the prospect was still a terribly frightening one as she thought back to the man from earlier.

Vivi looked to the others as they made their agreement. Asking for knowledge or power didn’t seem so bad since she didn’t have much to lose at the moment. She looked over to Five as he made his request.
“I have a terrible feeling about this,” she smirked, a chuckle escaping her lips. Vivi looked back to the man. While she acted light hearted about the situation, she would still be careful. This man was clearly dangerous.
“Alright, alright. Hate to be a cliché, but I want power as well. I’m willing to give up the power I have if I lose.”
As far as physical power was concerned, specifically strength, she considered herself pretty average. |

To Leon, he nodded. "Very well. I will awaken this power of yours if you win. And if you lose, you will be forced to awaken it on your own - but when you do, some of that power will be granted, instead, to me. Is this agreeable?"
To Five, he offered a concerned look, but still nodded nevertheless. "There are several. The cost depends on the specifications of the request. Do you simply wish to know her fate? Have her returned to you? Or, if she has suffered the worst, to bring her back?"
To both Christa, Vivi, and Zade, he would only nod and two cards would float off the top of the deck.

Leon would down the rest of his drink, snap his fingers for the bartender to bring another before looking at the guy.
"I can agree to those terms."

Looking at the cards floating, Christa shook her head with a sigh. She was starting to have second thoughts about this but, it was too late to go back on it now. She swished her drink around a moment,"So, how do we play? Mister uh...." Christa looked up at the strange man, "What's your name?"
