It's just another one of those basic days in the city. What is everyone up to?

WR was going through a bit of an emotional phase right now. They'd been holed up in their room in the Sudeki household for the past 30 hours or so, music in their ears as they mindlessly scribbled on an open canvas, letting out all of the negative emotion that had been plaguing them.

Rai would be knocking on the door to his Uncle's house he knew that WR wasn't doing so hot, so he came over with a chocolate cake and some Dr. Pepper.

Stevie was in the kitchen making a pizza from scratch for the Sudeki's and their ward. I guess I'll get that then She would answer the door and let Rai in.

Faythe was tending to her plants and opening the windows and doors to allow some fresh air in the place. It wasn’t exactly the most greenhouse of shops and the heat lamps as well as the irrigation systems can cause mold and stuffy air. She has to open shop at least every other day but she tries to do a few it hours at a time daily.

Jasper was enjoying a walk through the Eastern Heights. He had just severed ties with all the criminals he used to work for. Probably a dumb move for his safety, but he wasn't going to sacrifice his morals over something like intelligence. Normally he didn't come here unless it was on business, but today he was just strolling for the change in scenery. A celebration of his new life. He was isolated as possible, typical for him when enjoying himself.

Nagi... was taking an Uber to the Sudeki household to try and get a hold of Leon, or at least bug Stevie to point him towards Leon or worst case Rai. He had been considering undertaking a research binge on the Dragons mentioned before, but doing so would necessitate STARTING with the Dragons he knew.
... Dragons he knew and was on friendly terms with.

"Yeah well your mother looks like Legolas! And not in a good way!"
I shouted before being promptly thrown out of the bar I was in. This was the third place this week that kicked me out over something so trivial and materialistic as money. I shook my head pulling out my emergency flask and grabbing a police badge from my pocket. I held up the badge to oncoming traffic and took a swig as I started crossing the street, allowing cars to slam to a stop and honk their horns around me.

"Ah, perhaps here?"
Haji and Ariadne had come to the riverbank not far from Old Town. It was quiet and serene, the cool breeze coming off of the water being a nice change of pace from the stuffiness of the city itself. Sure, the Western District was literally right there, but it was nice to be able to shut one's mind off for a little bit.
Ever since Ariadne had moved into his home, it had been a rather long trip to the beach on the eastern side of the city to collect the seashells she'd use in her art. Trying to come up with an ideal compromise to save time, Haji had suggested the riverbank. While not seashells, perhaps they could find some quality stones here.
Sword at his hip, Haji would remove his shoes and roll his pants' legs up to his knees before stepping into the water. It was a bit cold, causing him to shiver slightly at the sudden shock, but he was fine within seconds.
"Careful. It is cold." He would laugh a bit as he crouched down to start sifting through the water. "I think I see some fish in here... maybe I can catch us some lunch later."

Addy was enjoying the cool breeze, blue hair billowing in the wind. She was wearing a colorful knit sweater and a pair of jeans, sunflowers painted onto the denim, splashes of bright yellow against blue. The woman was rolling up her pants, having discarded the pair of tennis shoes she'd gotten from Goodwill. After having traveled with the warm weather all her life, she learned fast that going outside without shoes on in this weather would sooner cause her more pain than comfort. It wasn't snowing yet, but the air was brisk and she imagined it'd probably end up snowing within the next few weeks. She hoped so, anyway.
The bluenette hissed as she stepped into the water. "No kidding," she remarked. "It's fine though, it's not that bad," she spoke optimistically, shaking her hands and rolling up her sleeves.
"Fish, huh?" she spoke, watching the marine critters flee from every footstep she took deeper into the water. "This isn't a great place for marine life, I wouldn't think." Being in the city and all. These might've come from the ocean, though.
She bent over and reached below the water, picking up a round stone that glimmered in the light with some reflective mineral.
"Hmm, see if you can help me find round ones like this one," she spoke, holding up the flat, round object for Haji to observe. "And just toss them on shore so we can take them back."

Suddenly the sky would darken and shift to a red color like a pulse or wave of energy ripped through the atmosphere and blanketed the city in it's malicious power. Those with marks would feel a sudden shock of pain that would vanish as quickly as it appeared. Those with marks would be drawn to Western District by this odd power. Something horrible was happening and the marks knew it.
Those without marks would also see the red sky, but they would also see a beam of red energy shooting into the sky from Western District. This couldn't be good for the environment.
The animals that could be seen, birds, fish, cats and dogs... All would suddenly and quite immediately react to the red sky by running or retreating while those that couldn't would turn vicious, growling and hissing.

Jasper would look up in absolute terror at the event that was occurring. This had to be something bad, and irrationally, he had to go to it. He would run as fast as his legs would take him towards the event. His only thoughts being he needed to at least try to stop it. If it wasn't some kind of catastrophic event, he would need to record it so it could be tracked. So running into the fire like his life depended on it, he was off.

Rai was about to walk in as Stevie opened the door when the event happened. He struggled to stay standing as he looked around.
"What the hell wa-"
That's when he noticed the sky, and saw the beam of light coming from he western district. He would turn to Stevie.
"Grab WR, we need to go check this out!"
He would say as he rushed to his car to get it turned on and prepped for Stevie and WR to join him.

Her knees buckled and she held onto the door for assistance. This was unnerving. Stevie immediately was put on guard against Raikotsu. How could he attack here at Leon's house?! Then she'd notice as it was gone that He had suffered it too. Her side burned. The sky.. . Rai ran out to the car and shouted for her to follow with WR. Stevie ran to WR's door and pounded on it. "ARE YOU OK, WILLOW?!" If answered, She would tell them to get ready. Something was going down and they were headed to see what it was. Stevie stopped in the kitchen to turn off the oven before headed out the door with WR.

Nagi hissed in pain as his mark flared up while the sky shifted, turning his eyes towards the Western District from the mental prodding. Seeing the pillar of light Nagi would frown before waving to get his driver's attention.
"Change of plans, head towards that pillar of light. I'll cover the cost for the extra travel time, just get me there."
