She didn't speak but as she adjusted the mask on her face there was a disbelieving anger that twisted her usually calm expression into a wide eyes scowl before it was half hidden.
It was frank on her expression she hardly believed what Leon was telling her. Further more that she trusted it to be true only angered her. Approved testing on unsuspecting and unwilling victims. This was more of a terrorist attack than anything.

"You don't believe me?"
Leon laughed.
"No news coverage, the mall investigation ended in less than a day, the police could not be reached during the mall event, and they showed up only to take two maybe three statements before leaving, and all those who went to the hospital were treated quickly and with little care. You know who is looking into it and digging things up? My organization, a criminal organization with no connection to the government. Why is that? No federal investigation for such an obvious act of terrorism? That can only be because they know what it was and when it is reported it will be some gas leak or some mass hallucination which caused panic and horrible things to happen. I would bet money, I don't bet, but I would that they never even mention the black mist."

It's true she had been watching the news and boards on what happened and it's been so few official accounts. Just people telling horror stories and that's hardly getting attention.
A finger curved around her chin as she thought about his claims. She was better accepting of them, he was so open about his organization being criminal she hardly believed he wasn't crazy enough to go after the government itself.
The big question however feels to be, Why? Why would they attack regular people.
She scratched in her notebook. "I'm getting the feeling there is a full on file full of information prepping up to some... Field test. it in some ways gives me comfort to know even you are someone looking into it. Have you run tests on victims of the attack?"

"Nothing intense. Just questioning. We didn't catch it early enough for blood tests or anything like that to be effective. At this point we are going to have to be more reactive when it happens again, but now we are aware and ready."
Leon sighed at the failing on their part to act, but it would be better next time, it was just bad there had to be a next time to get more.

She scratched with he pencil a bit more on her notepad.
"In our business endeavors if you find anything or need help of any kind, I am willing to offer my services."
She would nod in confirmation of her note and her expression showed resolve. She was ready to make a deal with Leon.

Leon would escort her out of the building in case she had more to add.
