As her ship landed it’s rusting haul and clanking gears were not discreet but it wasn’t like she looked any kind of suspicious in this corner of Andromeda. A low end bar made a gig for her and she had some hired help tagging along. She got out and filed her landing and unlocked the main haul. It can’t be unlocked from the inside after long use. But six people piled out and began to help her with the equipment. Everyone carries something and Will carried her guitar. It was all music equipment and it was all… broke.
“Alright carry all of that stuff to the back and you can go.” She said as she towered over them. They did as she asked and came back as she was tuning her acoustic before the show. Someone stopped and stared at her with great anticipation. A young boy, too young to be a full grown man by any standards but not too old that he was a child. “If you don’t hurry everything will be closed up.”
He stuck out his hand and it took Will a moment to realize why. He was thanking her. She accepted and shop’s him promptly, motioning with a head tilt the patrols that would be roaming around. This was her latest batch of trafficking and freeing slaves from another prestige or property. She would carry the broken gear by herself after the show.
“You have five minutes.” A stage hand announced as they passed her and the previous band was finishing up their own number. It was a full band and loud in a language Willred wasn’t sure of. She was casted I do a slow two songs and if the audience requested it maybe three. she’d receive payment enough to get her a new hydraulic regulator. The club was good for scouts too but she wasn’t going to put her bets on that dream unless it was presented.
When it was her time to go the lights dimmed and turned a deep red when she played a soft and slow cover of Creep by Radiohead. A human introduced her to that song after they met on Anthem some months back. That was a fun night.
Will’s voice can change in an instant to meet her needs but she stayed relaxed for this one. Her casual voice was a soft and sultry growl. She got through that one melodically smoothed and went into a new one she had heard that was about the downside of fame called La Di Die by Someone named Nessa. Which Willred felt this song sounded a lot like her own true voice so it was easy and maybe it would resonate with the audience like it does with her.
when she was finished she accepted her calm applause and realized the number of people who actually were in the room especially as the lights cleared from her eyesight. They certainly didn’t make much in door covers… Will’s regulator will have to wait. And without a third song she exited the stage and went to the bar. Her guitar was placed in its case and slung over her back with a strap across her chest. Give me something colorful and sweet. She didn’t like the taste of alcohol anything to mask it the better.
