Leon was patrolling. He hadn't gone out on a patrol of the area in a very long time, even fully armed gun and bokken strapped to him hidden under his suit Jacket. With the rising issues and surprise happenings in the city he ordered the Western District be more strictly watched for suspicious activity. Passing by a place that seemed to be a shop dedicated to candy and sweets. He hadn't seen one in this city in many years, but he also has been particularly busy with running his businesses. The blonde would look around and shrug, nothing suspicious so far, so he would dip inside to check it out.
"Hello?"
Leon would call out as he entered in case an employee were in the back or whatever. No need for someone to be startled to find the large man with scars on his face just going through your shop. One might think he were a bad man doing illegal things.

The light sound of a bell chimed as the door to Atelier Sweets was opened, a rush of cool air blowing into the store. It was a bit later in the day so those who came in at this time were few in number but where also questionable in background. Qui had been sitting behind the counter, a display case of beautifully wrapped candies and elegantly decorated pastries alike to her left. The girl stood from where she was sitting and fixed her apron, peeking over the counter to see who it was.

"Hello, welcome to Atelier Sweets! What can I get for you?" she chimed, her voice fluctuating in a singsong pattern. She didn't appear to be scared at all. In her years of living in the Western District she had to deal with all sorts of people. Generally people would only stumble in because they were craving something sweet so she had no reason to fear anyone really unless they were to try to mug the store or hold her at gunpoint. It was safe to assume this scar-faced man was the same as all the others.

Looking around as he made his way over to the counter to face the person running the register so they didn't have to speak with raised voices he would smile and wave around.
"Nothing in particular, saw the shop on my walk and decided to come in out of nostalgia. Haven't seen a shop like this since I was a kid."
He'd scan the pastries and put a hand to his chin.
"Though it would be rude not to buy at least something. So, whats your favorite pastry?"

Qui smiled, nodding lightly. "It's difficult for me to pick a favorite, I really love them all! Though if I had to pick something for you..." She scanned the case, pointing at one of the cakes on display. "I think you'd really like this one!"

The cake in question was a cheesecake with dark chocolate drizzled on the top. Some caramel lace tuiles were arranged in a circular formation around the top and perfectly spaced so that if one were to cut the cake in equal portions, each slice had one on top. "You seem like the kind of guy who'd prefer something that wasn't too sweet."

Leon would nod along spotting the particular piece she spoke of.
"Oh yes, that does look rather good. I'll take one of those. Hows the neighborhood treating a shop like this?"
Leon decided to make idle chatter, but then his manners slapped him in the face realizing how rude he had been. Though one doesn't usually give introductions when at a store or cash register, he felt this would be a common place for him to pick up some sweets on occasion.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leon Sudeki, I'm the owner of the Lightning Tower Utility Company, and I'm running for mayor."

"I am not usually one for politics, but all the troubles that have been happening in Old Town, the violence and drugs... As well as the future of the city and it's carbon footprint. There is a lot we can do better sadly."

"Coming right up!" the shop owner chimed, opening a drawer to her right and taking a knife to cut the cake. It took less than ten seconds for her to cut a slice with and plate it nicely, sliding it across the table to the older man.

"I can count the number of times I've been to Old Town on one hand!" she mused, lifting each of her fingers as she actually thought of how many times she had been. In the end she only lifted three fingers. While Qui knew nothing about this Leon Sudeki, he seemed sincere enough. "Mm, for sure! "Ahh there you are Chairman Sudeki!"
A silver haired man approached Leon as he spoke with the store Clerk. The man wore a black, fitted pinstripe suit, a red tie hung close to the collar of his white dress shirt. The man also carried an unmarked shopping bag with him. While he may have had a warm, friendly smile on his face, Leon may have already known something was up from Ayden's appearance.
"Or maybe I should start calling him future Mayor Sudeki."
Ayden jested lightly with his Boss and the Clerk.
"Oh but... I should probably give you that item you requested for me to go out and get, Sir."
Ayden pushed his glasses up to the bridge of his nose. The light shone a glare against them, and for a fleeting moment the true dark intentions of Ayden's plan crept into the smile on his face. But once more he gave his friendly smile before holding up the bag. It was nondescript, a simple white "Thank you" and a yellow smiley face adorned the bag. Inside of the bag... was another brown bag. But inside of that bag was a Special Collector's Edition Pretty Pretty Magical Maid Girl in Variant colors.
Now Leon had never asked Ayden to retrieve this figure. No Ayden had taking a liking to purchasing such items, and then giving them to Leon in embarrassingly public situations. Ayden locked eyes with Leon as he began his game of chicken.
"Will you open it here in front of everyone Sir? I'm sure you can barely contain your excitement."

Having heard the chime of the door and turned his attention momentarily away from the young lady to the intruder he would only close his eyes and pray to whatever all mighty being existed that cared to listen. Then it happened, again. Ayden had gone out of his way to try and annoy Leon into banishing him or something. Ayden knew how to leave the organization, but it was some game he was playing that made it all the more silly in Leon's eyes.
He would look to the clerk and bow his head respectfully.
"Excuse him, he escapes his kennel sometimes."
Taking the non-descript bag away from the male and proceeded to open it before even being prompted inspecting the figurine.
"High quality as usual, I will put it with the collection."
Before shoveling it back into the bag and holding it out to Ayden.
"Actually, add it to the glass case in my office."

With the sound of the bell as the door swung open, the young shop owner looked up from the conversation. "Hello, welcome to-" she was very quickly interrupted by another young man who came barging in. It was quickly made apparent that the noisy guy was acquainted with her current customer.

The man was carrying a bag with questionable contents and for a moment, Qui was afraid that some illegal activity was taking place right in front of her. However, her anxieties were quelled when Leon ripped open the bag and revealed the very cute figurine. She couldn't help but laugh, "Awww, how cute!! I didn't think you were the type to collect such things Mr. Sudeki-- Perhaps you'll have my vote after all!"[break][break]
The young woman then turned to Leon's companion, "Anyway sir, since you're here, can I get you anything?"

"Yes Sir! Right away Sir! I shall place it on the shelf with the swimsuit collection."
Ayden gave multiple bows towards Leon as he spoke taking the bag into his hands between bows. He smiled politely towards the store clerk as he spoke once more.
"Oh I would absolutely love to! I've heard many fine things about your establishment, but alas the Chairman only gives me one lunch break a month! But it was quite the pleasure making your acquaintance Miss!"
And with that, almost as quickly as Ayden had stormed into the store did he leave. The man head off in the direction of the Lightning Corporation and made it about a block away before his demeanor changed.
"Tch. I'll get him next time."
Ayden tossed away the glasses before undoing the top of his shirt and loosening his tie. He would however continue onto the Lightning Corporation and place the figure in Leon's office along with the swimsuit collection he had previously purchased.

Leon would watch Ayden go, poor guy and his attempts to annoy him didn't work in his favor, but lessons to be learned would take quite some time. As for the lady Qui. He would turn to her with a smile and bow his head.
"I appreciate the vote of confidence, collecting such things is a recent development suggested to me by the younger members of my company."
He would take another bite of the cake and grin giving a sound of pleasantly enjoying the flavor.
"It practically melts. Delicious. So are you the owner of this establishment, or just a worker?"

Qui blinked a few times as Mr. Sudeki's subordinate rushed to exit the store. "Oh, well, okay if you're sure--" and then the door slammed shut, causing the young woman to sigh with a chuckle. "That's a shame, he looked like he was in dire need of something to eat."

With that Qui turned her attention back to Leon momentarily, pleased that he was enjoying the cake. "Hm? Well, I suppose you could say I'm both the owner and a worker!" She turned to prepare a pot of tea, plugging in a portable induction stove and placing a tea kettle on top that strongly resembled a frog. "A few years back I bought this building and decided to open up shop here. I do have a handful of part-time workers but they only work during the day. I'm here pretty much all day, but I'm the only one currently on the evening shift." she rummaged through a cabinet of labeled containers as she spoke, procuring one filled with fragrant tea leaves. "Would you care for some tea?"

The explanation made sense to him, and since she was the owner it made sense with how she scheduled it out.
"Well when you own a franchise of these things, remember your humble beginnings. Things like this can get out of hand at come points."
Though at the offer of Tea he would smile and nod.
"Yes that sounds lovely thank you."
He would continue to enjoy his cheese cake.
"Do you cater?"
