[OoC: This is the first Major Event of the site. This means that the effects of this event will affect the entire board, for better or for worse. Rewards will be based on participation. There is potential to earn God Items but they will not be easy to obtain. If you somehow manage to take down a villain NPC, you can try to loot this villain to obtain one of their items (or inherit an ability) for yourself. Rounds will move no later than 48 hours after being posted unless I am specifically asked for an extension. Missing rounds can impact the chances of obtaining a God Tier reward.] As 2100 hours sent the electronic world to the announcement to the city a group of people stood at one of the bridges connecting the Eastern District with the Western District to halt the traffic trying to escape the city or any forces that would attempt to enter or leave Western District that seemed like it would be wanting to stop what was to happen tonight. The group was twenty strong and had apparently been crawling all over the bridge since the video started. The crisp night air made the work seem more silent than usual, but it seemed like whatever they were doing was important, yet unofficial. Two men stood at the Eastern Districts side of the bridge turning people away, making a big stink. The man with the gas mask would turn to the other one and speak. "I think it's about time you started coaxing people. From the live feed it looks like it's almost ready." The guy scoffed and decided to start walking away from the bridge towards the housing area. About five people from the bridge went with him huge grins plastered all around except for the man with long hair, he looked deadly serious. It wouldn't be long now, the signal would go out and it would be time to accept new friends, and put the inferior in their place. Finally, everything was coming together.

Having a place in Eastern District it wasn't hard to find out rather quickly about what was going on at the bridge, so Rai and the men he had managed to gather in the short time since setting up would head to the bridge.

Faythe has been shopping in the western district and was hoping to get home she was growing tired and frail from her journey and her throat was starting to itch with the brisk air stinging it. Without a way to pass she was not going to do very well.

Quinn was stuck in traffic on the bridge not knowing what was going on. The woman had a bad habit of not keeping up with really any kind of media be it cell phone, news, radio, or the like. Upon her bike she was yelling profanities and building road rage.

"What the Hell..."
Five stared down at his phone as the strange message played. Four, Six, and Oliver were nearby, looking concerned at their phones as well. After a successful heist, they just needed to get home... it wasn't far now. They were hiding away in a nearby parking garage, and their manor was merely a couple of blocks away.
Six's laptop was still transferring some necessary data, and Five was beginning to feel uneasy about the nearby bridge. There were too many people now, and something was going on.
"Four. Oliver. You two go on ahead." He said. Four shrugged, lifting up her rifle and started to head back. Oliver nodded, tipping his cap as he followed after Four. Despite the mask on his face, Six could tell Five was rather impatient. For now, he would sit there and twirl his knife in his hand, hoping they could get out of here without incident.

It wasn't too often that Adrian had Aiko over, but when he did, it was generally a rather procedural deal. Spend some time together. Dinner. Spend some time together. Freshen up. Then depending on her mood or business, she'd either spend the night or he took her home the same night. Right now, it was the latter, but there was a slight hold-up it seemed.
On the usual road he drove down, there seemed to be a traffic jam. And a bunch of weirdos holding everything up.
"Oh, come on..." Adrian grumbled as he honked his horn. Seeing as it was generally a quick drive, he didn't even bother getting dressed after his shower. He was literally only wearing a small, white towel around his waist and some fuzzy slippers.
"Is it too late to change your mind and stay at my place for now?" He asked, looking behind him to see if they could even back up now, clearly not paying much attention to what these people were doing or what they looked like. "Maybe we could find another road home..."

Post by Nero "Kaiser" Lucani on Dec 2, 2020 21:39:03 GMT
Nero would be trying to leave the Western District, having come from Old Town. They had a bit of extra money, and he wanted to treat his sisters to some Beans' Dreams over in the Eastern District. It seems fate had other plans though. Stopping some ways away from the bridge, he would look over at his crew.
"May have to change our plans... should've gone to McGreasy's after all."

Bianca was just playing Fate of New Earth on her phone (FoNE on her phone, haha) when she bumped into Kaiser's back when he had stopped.
"The hell, bruh? I almost dropped my shit." She complained, looking ahead to see why he had stopped. Something wack was definitely going on. It was then that she got a strange livestream interrupting her raid. Some goth rock reject was starting to speak about courts and fathers and stuff and all she wanted to do was exit out, as she desperately slammed her home button to try and get back to the game.
"Goddamn, I don't care about your daddy issues. I'm gonna wipe."

Aiko was in the car with Adrian when she got that strange alert on her phone.
She blinked, confused, as she watched video transmission sent out by whoever these people are. She felt nervous being out when... this was going on. She turned off her phone and rubbed her neck anxiously.
"I... think I'd feel safer at home," she admitted with a bashful smile. "Though... if you want to turn around, there are always the other bridges," she pointed out. She furrowed her eyebrows as she observed out the windows. "Is one of those guys wearing... a gas mask?" She inquired. That wasn't at all normal. Not on this fine weekday evening. "You don't think this is a real terrorist attack or something, do you?" She turned to Adrian with a concerned expression. Crap, she had work tomorrow. Her boss was already difficult to impress; She didn't think she'd get anywhere if Rudiger saw she was even a minute late tomorrow. Her boss's boss liked her, sure, but the corporate world was a complicated one, and she wasn't earning any favors by pissing people off.

Post by Christa Langford on Dec 3, 2020 1:00:53 GMT
Christa just got done running errands in the Eastern District, which was rather exhausting as she had been out for a few hours. Not to mention, the announcement made a few moments prior just made her wanna get the hell out of dodge. She pulled off to the side, in some businesses parking lot. She sure as hell wasn't going to get far with this traffic. As she approached the bridge connecting the two districts, Christa furrowed her brow at the two men standing in the way. Why do they look so edgy?
Nevermind that, she needed to get across and if she needed to brute force her way through them. That's what she was going to do. Approaching the start of the bridge, Christa sighed, "Ya'll part of that group of dumbasses, yeah? What's it gonna take to get you guys to get the hell out of my way?"

Vivi was near the front of the traffic blockade where she was becoming increasingly irritated. Several cars were still in front of them and their passengers honked up a storm and screamed profanities out their windows. Realizing things wouldn’t be moving anytime soon, Vivi stepped out of the car. Her driver Cadmus stepped out as well, a very tall man with a serious look on his face. Another short haired woman she didn’t recognize was moving to address them. After she spoke, Vivi did as well.
“Move before I kill you.”

Lenny was another victim of the traffic jam. And on one of her rare days off too. The woman sighed and leaned back in her seat. Of course, she’d seen the broadcast. There were worse things going on than people simply wasting her time. A few people were going forward to figure out what the hell was causing the jam, and Lenny found opening her door and attempting to peer over the tops of the cars.

Post by Whiro on Dec 3, 2020 1:27:43 GMT
Whiro watched the scene unfold from his perch somewhere high up in the bridge’s railing. Two women and a man were already attempting to confront the offenders. The situation was largely unknown. However, he had been sent by The Watcher to track down people related to the broadcast and either neutralize them or gather information from them. Whiro let out a soft breath through his nose. It would probably be for the best if he took a little extra time to plan his move.

When Christa and Vivi approached the long haired man would walk away with his five goons shrugging. However, the guy in the gas mask would wave a hand and the goons on the bridge would start moving to vehicles and forcing people out yelling things and beating on the vehicles. Even breaking windows and headlights if they had to. The man in the gas mask would turn back to the females, he held a hand out towards Vivi and spoke.
"This will only take... Another thirty minutes. Remain calm friends, it is time to awaken and reclaim this land."
Five and Whiro would see Raikotsu and his group walking outside and meeting up with the long haired man and his five goons as the walked down the road busting into people's homes and dragging them outside. The long haired man would stop and look at Raikotsu with a stoic expression.
"Intend to cause trouble just because the city hired you? You would be wasting your time in this respect."
Quinn, Adrian, Aiko, and Dr. Cleary would be approached by the people on the bridge wielding batons and breaking windows.
"Out of the car! Now!"
They started slashing tires to make the vehicles harder to drive even.
Nero, Bianca, and Faythe would be approached by the goons in black.
"Don't worry folks, we just need you to stand by for the next thirty or so minutes and regular traffic can continue."
As polite as these goons were being it was obvious the rest of the bridge was not getting good treatment.

Rai would send the men with him out to go and intercept the men pulling people out of their homes. Then look the man in front of him in the eyes.
"Why are doing this? These people aren't in a gang, they're just average citizens. What do you people want with them? Why are you doing this?!"
Rai would ask. His fists clenched.
