Rowan had literally no training in situations like this, and why would he? He's a kid. Still, he moved up as others retreated, holding his hands up.
"Hey, bud. You're alright. No one's comin' after you."
He tried to look around at the crowd after he spoke, to make sure he was correct, though.

"Hello Operator? Yes there's a crazed man who suddenly just put a gun to his wife's head at the Copia Mall food court, and there seems to be something weird coming from the ventilation shafts. I am at this moment about to put on a facemask to prevent breathing in any more of whatever it is that I have, and I'm going to stay out of sight and slowly edge away from all the people. I shall leave my phone on so you can hear what is happening."
Dial 911, pull out his surgical mask he carries everywhere because of recent flu scares in the state and pull it on, and stay the fuck out of sight.
What? He's no damn hero. People get paid for this shit, call them.

Drake noted the people freaking out and saw some sort of black mist coming from the vents.
"Cover your face."
Drake would say as he yanked her hoodie up to cover her mouth and nose. As he to ripped off some fabric of his very long, VERY EXPENSIVE, top. Using it to wrap his face.

Ayden scratched the back of his head as he turned around to see what the screaming was about. His eyes narrowed slightly towards the man holding his wife at gun point.
Nothing to do with you. Leave it alone.
His ears heard Leon's shouts. Ayden twitched slightly at the scene Leon was making.
You're off the clock. Not your problem.
He attempted to assess the rest of the situation. Everyone was going frantic. Ayden's eyes darted around the mall until he noticed the black mist from the ventilation ports.
Not your problem..
Ayden backed into a service way in the food court. He pulled his black half mask from his pocket, putting it on before pulling his hood over his hair. He would attempt to navigate his way through them to get to a point of vantage over the man with the gun.

Loie successfully chose some shoes and placed them in her bag. Next stop, the food court! But things didn't exactly go as planned. Loie was in line for bubble tea when she saw a man pull a gun on another person. The girl ducked behind a trash can and frantically began dialing 911. She almost missed it in her panic, but black mist appeared to be coming out of the ventilation. Loie took off her cardigan and held it over her mouth while waiting for the other end to pick up. Her breathing hitched and her hands shook so violently she almost couldn't hold onto her phone. |

Haji's attention went elsewhere when he heard shouting, and he looked up in shock to see a man with a gun and what looked like a hostage.
Immediately, Haji reached for his side, but soon realized his weapon was not here. Terrible force of habit. He'd move to Ariadne's side, bringing himself between her and the man with the gun as he pulled her down to duck low.
"This is bad... keep close to me." He would tell her quietly, looking up to see a white haired man try to deescalate the situation. Haji would begin to scan the area, looking for anything he could use to back this man up should things turn worse. |

If someone says get down, Ariadne is going to listen. She ducked, sticking by Haji as she used the collar of her tshirt to cover her nose and mouth from the mist.
One time she gets to hang out with someone new, and this shit happens.
Torn between helping other people and keeping her own hide safe, she opted that staying with Haji is the best option for now.

The pleasant expression upon Selena's face fell as she noticed increasing coughing. When she first arrived, everyone appeared fine, but now something was visibly wrong. Diseases didn't spread and infect this quickly, so what was the matter? As an individual near her began to display acute paranoia, Selena rushed over, moving to set her bags down and kneel down. "Ma'am, I am a doctor. Please, allow me to try to hel-"
Utter chaos seemed to break out, people screaming and beginning to run. The lids of her eyes fluttered quickly and she looked about frantically. No, this was far from normal. Something wasn't right in the least. As frantic thoughts coursed through her mind, trying to decipher what might be the matter, her blue gaze caught sight of black mist seeping out from the ventilation system. Her eyes widened sharply and she stumbled backwards.
Was this some sort of bio-weapon?!
"Something is seeping in through the vents. Keep low, cover your faces and get out!" she shouted.
Selena lowered herself onto the ground and quickly went through her purse. She always carried emergency supplies on her, given her profession, and put on a mask. It was hardly ideal, as it was not a true ventilator or gas mask, but it was better than nothing, right? While keeping low, the young woman searched for a safe way to move forward, her free fingers slipping into her finger and reaching for her cell phone.

Ken would step forward in for behind Leon however he had began to scan the surroundings, the coughs were strange. However when his eyes caught sight of a strange black smoke, be gritted his teeth.
"Oyabun! Cover your mouth!"
He would pull his white suit coat off, tearing material from it in strips. Ken would cover his face and throw Leon one.

As Leon tossed the man to the side, from the moment he hit the ground, Leon would see he looked... just like himself. The man pointed up at him and continued to scream. "Y-you're gonna get us all killed!" From behind Ken, people would begin to push the two into the mall!
Gidget and Drake would both notice a woman approaching them, coughing and heaving as she did. Blood began to pour out from her mouth, spraying out with each cough. For a split second, both of them would see her take on a strange... dark shape, almost like something out of a horror movie, before it returned to normal.
Nagi and Loie nothing but static as they dialed the numbers, and when they looked, their phones seemed to have no service! Both of them would also see, as well as all present in the food court, the man suddenly point his gun at a white-haired boy and fire three times. Rowan would get shot twice in the chest, and once in the stomach! Haji and Ariadne seemed hidden for now, and the former would see there were many things he could try to use as weapons in this environment. Anything that wasn't nailed down, really. Ayden would find no vantage points unless he managed to get upstairs, which he couldn't do from the food court.
No one seemed to stop and pay any legitimate attention to Selena, as the ones who weren't going crazy were in total fear, and looking to escape! People pushed past her, and eventually she was shoved to the ground.
Faythe was punched in the mouth by the person she offered the cough drop to! It was a smaller woman, but her mouth was covered in blood.

It all happened so fast.
He got told he was likely going to need to repeat two classes.
He was told they were out of hot dogs.
He got shot.
He got shot again.
He got shot a third time.
Rowan hit the floor, eyes wide as he still wasn't sure what was happening.
He just wanted a hot dog.

Gidget grabbed ahold of her hoodie as Drake pulled it around her face, and finally looked up enough to see the black mist in the vents. She narrowed her eyes and glanced back at Drake.
"If you get me to a security room.... I might be able to turn off the vents?" she said, right as the woman approached her.
At which point, she froze, like a deer in headlights. "Ew.... Ew... EW.... EW.... I've seen this game. No siree. Not turning into a Necromorph today. NOPE. You can take your Marker bullcrap and SHOVE IT. EW!"
At this point, she fully ducked behind Drake.

Leon took the cloth strip from Ken and wrapped his face staring at the man... It was about when he would finally have enough cognition to notice the smoke.
"Okazaki-san. Check out the roof if you can. Someone is playing games in Raijin Clan turf."
Leon would turn to 'push' the people pushing them back. And by push I mean very violently beat the shit out of them until they stopped. If that didn't work and he ended up being pushed inside he would try to grab one of them and pull them inside with him.
