(OOC: This event will be open to anyone who wishes to take part. It will be a two-part event, with the second beginning nearly immediately after the conclusion of this thread. While there may be fighting, non-combat actions and such that characters make will be weighed heavily and could potentially change the outcome of the event. As such, it is encouraged to play true to your character’s strengths and personality. Rounds will, hopefully, move every 48 hours, but may go faster depending on post speed.)
Within the Andromeda Concord’s server rooms in the middle echelon, a man was kneeling down by a terminal, tapping away furiously. The room was nearly completely dark, save for the light that came from the machines within. Around him were unconscious technicians, caught unaware and unable to run away for help before the man took them down. He was dressed just like them, wearing a fully white jumpsuit that looked a little too large on him, and it was disheveled and wrinkly, seeming as if he had stolen it from one of the worker’s lockers.
The man was older, and his face was scruffy and tired. Sweat dripped down his brow as he continued to type, finally finding the files he was looking for within the server. The names and living quarters of all of the Andromeda Concord’s leaders. He was to extricate this information and hand it over to his client. He had to… there was no other choice.
The files hadn’t finished copying when he heard the door open. Turning around in a start, he would see one of the Concord’s officers walk in. He would take a look around, seeing the people on the ground, before drawing his firearm and pointing it at the spy, quickly swiping the door behind him to shut it and lock it so the man couldn’t escape.
”Don’t move! Get your hands up! Now!” The officer would say, and the nervous man would stare at him, seeing nothing but red as he twitched slightly. The man would breathe heavily, the veins in his body bulging as he sized up the officer, his eyes landing on his name tag. ”I’d get out of my way if I were you… R. Clarke...”
Two gunshots would ring out as the man charged forward, and he was seemingly unfazed as the bullets hit him. He would tackle Clarke, slamming him against the wall as he started to push on his chest hard. Gasping for air, the officer would start frantically swiping his badge at the door, and the man could see the life slowly leave his eyes. Before he could finish the job, however, the door would open as the officer’s badge found its mark, and the two would lurch forward into the open.
The officer fell to the floor in a slump, and the cool air from the open hall outside would hit the man’s face, a cool wind covering him as he sweat profusely. He looked down at his torso, noting the two bullet wounds and the blood seeping forth, but it didn’t seem to bother him. He’d look around, seeing that there were many people around, staring in shock, and it was a woman’s scream that broke him from his reverie.
Immediately, the man would turn back around, grabbing the device with the files. It seemed they had finished in the time he spent dealing with the officer. With that, he would head back out the door, running into a full sprint down the hall before leaping from the balcony. It was a three story drop, and he would land with a loud crash in the large, mall-like food court below, taking a moment to regain his composure before standing up.
He had too much attention now, and he had to get out of here.
The man would take a look around at the dozens of people in the area, clenching his fists as he started running for the nearest staircase. He had to get to his extraction point before he was overwhelmed.

It was just meant to be a routine patrol before he ended his shift.
Rory was heading over to the server room to bid his pals a good night when he noticed how uncharacteristically dark the room was. Entering the room cautiously, he would find them unconscious, and an unknown assailant standing in the middle of them.
He wasn't sure what happened, but two gunshots didn't even faze the man. And soon, he was pinned against the door he had locked, his chest being crushed as he found himself unable to breathe. Oh god, he was going to die here, wasn't he?
Swiping at the card reader frantically, Rory's vision started to blur as he felt his torso constricting more. The satisfying beep of his card swiping brought him brief salvation, and soon, he found himself falling to the floor. He would land in a slump, seemingly unconscious as blood trickled from his lip.

"Why are we here again?" A muffled, disembodied voice spoke from within Haji's bag, to which the samurai would sigh. "We are just making a quick stop. We need to resupply, and fuel our vehicle. It is a long trip back home, and I do not wish to be stranded on the way to my wife. Besides... she is quite fond of the little treats that they have here."
Haji would be walking through the food court, standing out from the majority of the people there due to his haori and bright hair. He had a sword at his hip... and another within his bag. A cursed blade, or so it claimed. As far as Haji was concerned, the only curse was that the blade wouldn't ever stop talking. At least it made for decent company at times.
Haji was nearly to the vendor he was looking for when he heard a monstrously loud crash, and he turned around quickly, hand moving to his sakabato as he prepared to draw it. He was surprised to see a man standing in the middle of the new crater in the food court, and he was equally surprised to see the man wasn't even hurt by such a fall. In fact... he got up and started running.
"Strange..." Haji said, and he could hear the sword chuckle. "Finally, something interesting is happening. Maybe this will be the day you unsheathe me." It said, and Haji just shrugged. Immediately, he would start chasing after the man. Whatever was going on, it looked highly suspect, and from what he had witnessed in that fall, this was no ordinary man. He was liable to hurt someone should he continue to run free.

Faythe was just about to have a customer for her stall when the commotion happened and it caused the poor thing to guard up and bear draw a blade. She couldn’t blame them for she was on alert and a hand went to her chest to calm her violently beating heart it seemed it and her now ragged breathing tried to take over her body.
She had little grasp of the situation but she was frail and as she stressed you might almost see veins appear as if she was near wilting.

I sighed looking at how few credits I had left. Looked like I was eating light today. I found a decent looking stand that didn't appear too expensive. But it looked like it was mostly produce... I was hoping for something a little more protein heavy and a little warmer. Realizing I probably shouldn't buy hot dogs again, I made my way towards the produce stand.
However, I paused for a moment. What the hell was that? I could have sworn I heard gunshots. Maybe I was being paranoid after the mall, but I couldn't help but narrow my eyes above me. I told myself to shake the feeling, but I couldn't. Deciding to go see for myself to calm my nerves, I made my way up the escalators to the second floor, my eyes looking up. That was when I saw a figure leap down from a balcony a few floors. I ran over to the railing on the second floor to try and get a look at him.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good look before I saw him sprint off. At the same moment, I launched off as well, opting to go over the crowds. I flung my body in the direction of a pillar holding up the next floor, before launching off of it in the direction the man come from. Someone doesn't run like that on their way to do something. Chasing after that guy wasn't my business, but I had a bad feeling about what he might have left in his wake. I grabbed a hold of the railing on the balcony, before pulling myself over it. I wasn't sure what to expect, shouting as I pulled myself up.
"Hey! Is everyone okay?!"

"You must be kidding, right?" Chris spoke quietly to the disembodied voice in his ear, "This is practically suicide, with all due respect."
"Suicide or not, it must be done. Let us not forget about our agreement."
The call ended with a small beep and the Spaniard breathed a heavy sigh, "Guess I have no choice." He picked up the last of his hotdog and stuffed it into his mouth before leaving. After typing a few things on his wrist pad, Chris would begin to walk to the coordinates his employer sent him. Lucky for him, he didn't have to move very far before a maniac jumped three stories and landed behind him. Fanning away the dust and coughing a few times, he eyed the device the man was carrying, "Amigo! How nice of you to- Ugh, they always take off before I can finish my witty remark." Chris takes a deep breath and begins channeling his curse energy, moving it into his legs. Immediately after the rearrangement is done, Chris gives chase to the big guy but doesn't draw his sword quite yet.

Gem's stomach grumbled as she lined ketchup and mustard along the length of her hot dog. She hadn't eaten all day, and she was looking forward to them GOOD EATS while she was here. There was something about Space Station Food Court food that always hit different.
She brought the hot dog to her open mouth, eyes closed as she anticipated the delicious, warm, hot doggy goodness.
A crash only a few feet away from her had her nearly falling out of her seat and sent her dog flying out of the bun, the sausage falling to the floor with a sad, ketchup-mustardy splat.
She blinked.
"That did not just happen," she spoke, quickly feeling dejected at the loss of her food.
She gazed at her fallen hot dog with a solemn look, closing her eyes to give her lunch a brief moment of silence.
When she opened her eyes, her head shot around to see the man who had made the impact grow more distant as he ran. Gem did a quick stretch of her arms and legs before taking off after him, vaulting over obstacles as she pursued the monster who victimized her hot dog. "I did not steal that hot dog just for some pisshead to ruin it for me."

Loie just stopped by the mall to pick up a few skin care products. The next thing she knew a man came crashing into the food court from above and took off running. She noted his blood stained shirt before he left her sight. Why were all these people chasing him? Did they know this guy? In any case, Loie was not about to join the maniac brigade.
Instead, she used special move.
Loie attempted to call the police, oblivious to the fact that there were already officers a few floors above.

They wouldn't leave him alone. He could hear the shouting. The footsteps growing louder. Loud noises that overwhelmed his senses. He could hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears. His own breathing a turbulent wind that sounded foreign and violent.
"Leave me alone!" The man would roar as he heard footsteps fast approaching him. He would rush past a food stand, grabbing it and lifting it near effortlessly before pivoting on his heel, gathering force as he threw it towards his pursuers, causing a rain of various hot foods to fall down on anyone unlucky enough to get hit by them. At the same time, he would grab a nearby woman and fling her aside at the approaching Chris, chucking her like a fastball in an attempt to stall them.
The man would rush into the nearby crowd, pushing everyone aside as he got near them and just trying to break through. If anyone looked, anywhere the man's skin touched was melting the objects he touched, and people were being inflicted with burns, many of which started screaming at the sudden, unexpected pain. Those observing would be able to see this clearly, as well as those who needed help.
The man paid no attention to this, rushing towards the closest escalator in an attempt to get to higher ground.
Loie's call would reach the officers, but they were occupied trying to calm down the Concord's civilians, relaying to her that they were aware of the situation. Meanwhile, Rory would remain knocked out.

While I could make out the sounds of panic below, this balcony and hallway seemed pretty quiet. A little too quiet for my liking. I made my way down the hallway until I found a mess of a man half in a doorway. Inside the room, multiple people seemed down. I narrowed my eyes at the officer, recognizing him.
"Dammit Officer Numb Nuts, you should have stuck with jay walkers."
My fist squeezed tightly as I bolted towards the people. Making sure Rory was still breathing, I snatched up his communicator. I began checking the other people to make sure no one else was in critical condition.
"You have an Officer and workers down, at least one in critical condition. Send paramedics to. Dammit."
I took a few steps out to grab the room number from the hallway. I could hear the operator asking stupid questions like who am I, what happened after I told her the location, but I wasn't sticking around for security to get here. Without Rory, I wasn't sure if I would have been able to pull the Reaper's attention away from the crowd. I wasn't going to let whoever did this to him, get away. I dropped the communicator and made my way back down the hall to the balcony.

Gem wasn't expecting the guy to start flinging a food stand in her direction, and she'd make an attempt to roll under the flying food stand as it soared overhead. She could feel a scalding hot dog brush against her shoulder, hot off the grill from the stand. "Ouch, shit!" Two hot dog obscenities in one day... Such injustice will not stand.
She watched as the man went to the escalator in his attempt to reach higher ground, and she'd make quick work of trying to intercept him. Grabbing a bottle off soy sauce off a nearby table as she passed it, she'd toss it at his direction in hopes of hitting him. Realizing she might not be able to really stop him once he reached the elevator, she skidded on her heel and made a sharp turn towards the stairs, moving to quickly ascend them. An acrobat can do all sorts of shit on even ground and during descents, but stairs were the fucking bane of her existence. About most of the way up, she ditched the steps and stood on the stair railing before jumping diagonally to catch the railing of the balcony of the second floor, pulling herself up and over. She continued her mad dash to intercept the Defiler of Hot Dogs, side stepping civilians and vaulting over obstacles to try and stop his escape.
If he'd ascended faster than her and was still running, she'd continue her pursuit. If she'd gotten up quicker than him, she'd attempt to knock him backwards down the escalator with rushed kick.

As Chris sprinted towards the super freak barreling through the Concord, he tapped his wristpad a few times. The screen would turn a dull red and begin beeping as he sent out a distress signal. Looking up just in time Chris jumps through the hotdog stand, slapping away the poor sausages as they barraged his face, "Hey! Easy on my handsome face!" He shakes his fist at the hotdog villain as he lands, only given a moment of time before this poor woman came flying towards him as well.
"Sorry, chica!" Chris stumbled to the side just in time to dodge her, wincing a bit, "Someone else will catch you!" He didn't bother to look back though, he didn't want to know her fate. As soon as he regained his balance, Chris began to give chase once more to the big guy. If Gem successfully kicked him down, Chris will attempt to draw his sword and throw a slice at him. If not, he'll continue chasing.

Faythe was ready and there was a woman who was hurt and she already grabbed her bag and started to examine the wounds where the man touched. She would see how it looked and hoped to make it in time to do something substantial.
She reached for water and poured it over where the corrosion was affecting the woman previously thrown

Loie was relieved to know the authorities were on the case, but she still refused to chase the culprit like a chicken with its head cut off. He had enough people on his tail. She glanced up in the direction she remembered seeing him fall from. What on earth happened up there? Curiosity wouldn't help anyone, but it still got the best of her. Loie made her way up the floors until she saw a man knocked unconscious outside a room. If there were any officers around and they didn't stop her, she would kneel down to check his airway, breathing and pulse.

Haji's eyes widened as he saw the flying hot dog stand, and despite the imminent danger in the air, he couldn't help but wonder why it was always hot dogs.
Not slowing down his pace, Haji would reach into his bag, taking hold of the sheathe that lay within and pulling it forth.
"Are you truly going to call upon my dark power for a mere food stand? How preposterous." The sword spoke to him, and Haji grinned. "No. But your sheathe is near invincible, is it not?" He said, and amidst the sword's protests, Haji lowered himself into a slide, bringing the sheathe in front of him to block the hot dog stand as he slid underneath it, using the momentum to push it up and over himself as it would fly and crash behind him.
The blade would cry foul with many obscenities in Japanese, which Haji ignored as he turned around, ready to begin his pursuit again when he was caught off-guard by a flying woman. Catching her and almost falling off of his feet, the boy would set her down as he examined her swiftly, confused at the sight of a rather severe burn wound where she was presumably grabbed.
"This is... unusual..." He would say, looking up to where the man was, now fearing for the two pursuing him.
